About Double Gel

Double Gel is a term created by our very own lead nail technician Terri Browman. She suggests this technique as the best way to regularly wear gel polish without ruining your natural nails. Natural nails that are subjected to continual gel polish application become severely dried out because of the repeated removal process.

Double Gel is a simple solution in which a professional nail tech applies hard gel to the natural nails first, then follows with any gel polish. Not only does this protect your natural nails from acetone-based soaking solutions, it keeps your manicure looking impeccable for up to three weeks.

Once your first overlay appointment is completed, you will follow up at your next service with a fill-in service. Using an e-file, the gel polish is quickly removed with just a few swipes, maintaining the hard gel coat underneath the polish. Your tech will then reapply, filling in your new nail growth with hard gel, followed by your new polish of choice.
